I think it was a good investment, but 10 billion is a lot of money in absolute terms and comparing it to "all US spending between 2003 and 2026" just to make it seem small is disingenuous.
- matthewmacleod 4y agoIt's not to make it seem small – the point is that the first contract was awarded in 2003 and the project is funded through to 2026.
- bradlys 4y agoConsidering it’s a 20+ year project in the making and has an expected operation of 5-20 years… I don’t think it’s entirely ridiculous to look at it this way.
