Whose version of the War on Terror won?
- PaulHoule 4y agoI dunno... It seemed to me that the 9/11 attack came from Saudi Arabia and if we were going to invade some country it should have been that country. There was a third critique of the war that was roughly: (1) there was no evidence for Iraqi "weapons of mass destruction" and (2) it was likely to turn into a protracted struggle with irregulars as it did. The ironic thing was that the war might have been winnable if they had made any attempt to involve both Shias and Sunnis in running the country but instead we spent $2 trillion to install the regime that Iran wanted. From my point of view it was not about pacifism or war in general but about that particular war being a bad idea.
