- Minor49er 4y agoIt's interesting that we're basically seeing a re-exploration of what William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin were concluding with their invention of the cut-up technique. This was basically a way of making poetry by cutting up words in a text and randomizing or rearranging them to make them convey a completely new idea. They have described it as a way of, at times, being revealed things by a higher power, even claiming that it predicted the future. DALL-E is essentially a few evolutionary steps ahead of the cut-up technique.
