Judging by your comments about retirement perhaps this isn't significant but if you were go down the UK+OCI route would that cut off any children you might have from obtaining Indian citizenship ?
- oumua_don17 4y agoA good question, but me and my wife don't plan to have kids. Nevertheless, IIRC, if either of the parent/grandparent was an Indian at any point of time, the kids have the option to apply for Indian citizenship. Though I would have to recheck the rules to confirm. The flip side is they would have to give up whatever other citizenship they have but again they also get the OCI if they want to.
