Isn't your envy/entitlement misplaced, by your own argument "you can always choose to live in a cheaper home".
- fundad 4y agoLow taxes incentivizes a retiree to stay in possible a more spacious home than they need instead of selling to a young family. If you are a retired couple or a single without any large adult children living with you, you're better off with less to maintain.
