Each person gets one device, our problem is that sometimes devices "leak" to the other person because you have to pick a person account for a shared device. I'm sure it is limited to one device per person because when the kids are in school I'm pretty much guaranteed to have my shower music stopped with a "Music has stopped because you are listening on another device" message when my wife takes the kids to school.
