One I've flipped on:
Functional programming has some really solid ideas.
- retrocryptid 4y agoI love the Larry Wall quote: "Programming languages do not differ in what they make possible, but in what they make easy." I grew up coding Lisp, largely in an imperative style, but over time learned some of the tricks you could pull to better denote your intention to the compiler. Lisp, Erlang, OCaml, etc. let you concretize some cool concepts, but dang if they're not hard to learn. Anyway... +1. Functional Programming has some really solid ideas. (assuming you were saying you flipped over to this viewpoint and not away from it.)
