European democracy at its best. Proud to be European today.
- bagacrap 4y agothis is democracy? Seems like extortion and protectionism to me. If this affected any European companies I would just call it anti-business, but instead it's clearly xenophobia.
- unity1001 4y ago> Seems like extortion and protectionism to me Wait until you learn about the import-quotas that the US applies to every country that it trades with. Including those with 'free trade' agreements.
- alaric410 4y agoThose of us who are not American prefer that the internet is not owned by a small number of American megacorps. EU is responding to that.
- pmcollins 4y agodid you feel proud when the eu passed the cookie law? are you proud every time you have to wait for and click through a cookie modal? (never mind the development costs) you might end up with an ad- and app-store- riddled europhone and if you decide that you want to buy a us or international spec iphone you won’t be permitted to do so.
- tobyhinloopen 4y agoYes. I like the cookie walls. It’s a constant reminder most websites are garbage. I welcome my ad- and app-store riddled europhones and then chose to not use most apps that use tracking ads
- emkoemko 4y agoi like that companies are forced now to show me the data they collect on me with a simple request
- stackbutterflow 4y agoI love that cookie pop up. That's an instant C-w.
- Avamander 4y agoYou do understand that those popups indicate either malicious compliance, incompetence or unnecessary tracking? Do you think keeping any of those three hidden is in any way better?
