I highly recommend checking out Mick West's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/MickWest https://www.youtube.com/c/MickWest). Mick rigorously analyzes the evidence supporting recent UFO sightings, including optical analysis, radar tracks, 3D reconstruction, unearthing technical documentation for observing systems (like the turret camera in an F16) and even experimental replication when needed.
The bottom line is that the "mysterious and unexplained" aspects of these reports are neither. Or rather, the mysterious parts can be explained and the unexplained parts aren't mysterious. His forensic analysis work is both thorough and unbiased.
