- wgx 15y agoExample.com is an IANA domain, reserved for testing and documentation purposes. So, you're not spamming them. http://www.iana.org/domains/example/ http://www.iana.org/domains/example/
- bryanlarsen 15y agoFrom RFC 2606: "reserved for use in private testing, as examples in documentation, and the like." So using example.com is not bad, and a lot better than other commonly used names like test.com.
