For comparison, and hoping that netflix doesn't devolve to that point, I submit Spotify. My wife and I have the "2 people" plan. But it is draconian that only one device be used at a time. So if I'm listening and my wife starts the car, my shower/work tunes shut off. The car doesn't have multiple profiles. Similar happens if she is in the kitchen and starts tunes via voice (bluetooth from her phone understands it is a different profile).
To be fair, Google Play has similar draconian limitations. I assume this is part of their agreement with the music industrial complex.
- thn-gap 4y agoI really thought that Spotify Duo allows 2 people to keep their respective accounts, just that one person pays for both. Are you sure about the one device restriction? I can't find it anywhere.
- linsomniac 4y agoEach person gets one device, our problem is that sometimes devices "leak" to the other person because you have to pick a person account for a shared device. I'm sure it is limited to one device per person because when the kids are in school I'm pretty much guaranteed to have my shower music stopped with a "Music has stopped because you are listening on another device" message when my wife takes the kids to school.
