- winReInstall 4y agoNow, now, he is getting on in years, is this realistic. The sword of time comes for us all at last. Maybe he should seek out advice from the dread pirate roberts. All jokes aside, his idea for daikatana was visionary, but the tech was not there and alot of the design decisions were never tried before.
- hammyhavoc 4y agoHe's only 54. John Williams is 90, and doing the score for the fifth Indiana Jones movie. When you have a career you love, it isn't work, it's what you exist to do. Romero is a natural talent, I'd say he's got a lot more in him yet.
- ThrowawayR2 4y agoTo counterbalance the inevitable jokey comments, Daikatana was 22 years ago and the stink around it was overblown; plenty of other famed studios and creators have released equally overhyped flops since. The man is genuinely talented and, whatever it is he's making, I hope he succeeds in creating something interesting and fun.
- hammyhavoc 4y agoDaikatana, and the GBC version by a different studio were fun games. Whilst they might not have been revolutionary, Romero's contributions and impact to gaming will be felt forevermore.
