Complete bullshit. Housing is a necessity, not some random thing like your netflix account. People will pay more than they can afford for rent, and landlords know this all too well. Add on top of that current house owners stopping new properties going up and now you have people in the position to be completely fleeced with no way out. Rental properties as income streams needs to stop. A place to live should be just that, not a way for the landed gentry to fuck the serfs even harder.
