Ask HN: Climate Textbooks
What are you favorite textbooks and courses to learn about climate change?
- hitpointdrew 4y agoAnything by Dr. Bjorn Lomborg is excellent.
- gardenfelder 4y agoI recommend a Udemy course from a climatologist [1] who curates a massive online "encyclopedia" of climate data and issues using TheBrain. [1] https://www.udemy.com/user/mark-trexler/ https://www.udemy.com/user/mark-trexler/ [Edit typo]
- montalbano 4y agoNot strictly climate change, but realted to it: Sustainable energy without the hot air is great, freely available. But the numbers used for estimates are out of date. I think there was an effort to update it but I can't remember who the newer author was. https://www.withouthotair.com/download.html https://www.withouthotair.com/download.html
- flerovium 4y agoYes, it really likes the numbers for tidal energy. Since the book was published, Korea, France, and the UK have mostly abandoned it after a cost benefit analysis. It has gained little traction.
