C# isn't ideal either, but it's a way better java than java. The even better java is Kotlin or Groovy. My point in the GP comment is just that there fundamental design things that IDEs can't fix. Java is badly designed, IDEs can do damage control, but it can't undo what the mistakes of language designers.
