- bacon_waffle 4y agoThere must be a name for books like Moby-Dick, where popular culture has a strong association between a topic - whaling - and the book, yet the author had absolutely minimal experience with the topic when writing the book. A Walk in the Woods is another like that, though I'm not sure what the deeper significance was in that instance.
