- MilnerRoute 4y agoLeonid Volkov was chief of staff for Alexei Navalny's campaign for the 2018 presidential election and subsequently the campaign of the "voter strike", co-founder of the Society for the Protection of the Internet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Volkov_(politician) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Volkov_(politician)
- zeristor 4y agoWasn't there a bad peace 8 years ago the last time Russia invaded? So they'll just do it again in several years time again.
- entropicgravity 4y agoAt least the people in Europe have several months to get ready for the winter. Electric heaters, sweaters and down duvets must be in short supply already. Many are already busy insulating their water pipes. My guess is Europeans will survive the cold this winter better than Putin expects.
- darthrupert 4y agoYep, Putin has underestimated us time and again. Internally weak people mistake kindness for weakness every time.
- the_biot 4y agoNone of this is news, you can read about all of this in analysis pieces on the war in Ukraine, in many news sources. I understand that this guy is a Russian dissident of some sort, but to take this breathless tone is a bit much. As always, ignore the twitter brigade and read real news instead.
- rasz 4y agoThis is news to most Germans. They dont hear about it, instead they hear Scholz repeatedly lying and they believe him every single time.
- nikolay 4y agoYeah, but half of the HIMARS have been destroyed, Russia kept its pace and slowly but surely is winning. And as Putin said, they hasn't started and we believe him.
- _kbh_ 4y ago> Yeah, but half of the HIMARS have been destroyed Theres 0 evidence that 1, let alone half the HIMARS have been destroyed. On the contrary, we have seen ~3 more Russian ammo depots explode in the past two days. > Russia kept its pace and slowly but surely is winning Russia has made nearly 0 gains in the past two weeks, and in the past couple months the gains require a lot of zooming in on a map to even see. > And as Putin said, they hasn't started and we believe him. Yes Russia hasn't started at all, thats why they are throwing their hypersonic missiles and US anti carrier weapons at Ukrainian warehouses and shopping malls. Not only has Russia started, this is _all_ Russia has. The most astounding thing about this war is how poor Russias armed forces really are.
- nikolay 4y agoThere's plenty of evidence including videos - just not on CNN. Actually, Russia is steadily advancing according to Ukrainian own sources [0]. I can understand the optimistic and Russophobic beliefs that this is all Russia can do, but it's far from the truth! Zelensky soon will be the most hated Ukrainian leader ever because with him serving Biden, not the Ukrainian people, he will lose a lot more. His attitude of begging and criticizing those who gave him an unprecedented support did not do anything but dig Ukraine deeper into the hole started by Biden when he was Obama's vice president! - TheLoafOfBread 4y agoI saw that so called evidence, one video released by Russian MoD is 4 white (!) trucks, which were missed by wide margin. Why HIMARS would be parked next to each other, when it is making attacks from Donetsk to Kherson is an exercise in critical thinking about so called evidence. Other video is extremely blurry box which looks more like a random truck and it is hard to say what was actually hit.
