Not worded in the friendliest way, but given OP is a direct person, perhaps this is the right medicine. Because there's a lot of wisdom here. I don't see any grinding in the original post, just coasting. Welcome to adult life, I guess. And finding others with the exact same set of passions and aspirations is not likely to result in any success - that should have become apparent after multiple attempts. It's totally OK to have friends with no overlapping interests and interests with no friends to share them.
