I only found gig switches with 10gig interfaces
- metadat 4y agoWhy waste time on 2.5gbit? Just go all in on 10g fiber, the cables are cheap and easy to run, transceivers are relatively cheap, too. Only annoying thing is the 10gbit fiber NICs are less plug-n-play compared to Ethernet.
- CryptoJunky1122 4y agoBecause I have no device which support 10g out of the box. Also ethernet is already installed to all rooms. For me it would be wasted time/money to replace all ethernet to fiber now. A 8 port switch is replaced in about 1 minute.
