Yep. I will spend hours thinking about some sticky logic with my eyes unfocused and rolled upwards like I'm doing math. No epilepsy in my family.

- stevenjgarner 4y agoAre you aware all throughout while you are doing that or do you sometimes arrive at the conclusion and wonder how you got there? I kind of wonder how many problems my subconscious solves for me.
- t-3 4y agoI'm aware throughout, but usually my thinking leads me nowhere! I often find the solution I'm thinking of the next morning or a few days later, and wonder why it wasn't so obvious the first time I pondered it.
- stevenjgarner 4y agoFor sure on finding the solution at a later time. I have a bedtime ritual where an alarm goes off in the evening to remind me to identify the most important problem I have been unable to solve today. I then tell myself that I would really like to have the solution to that problem when I wake up in the morning. Now maybe it would happen anyway, but a good deal of the time when I do that I will wake up with something valuable.
