Some of these points are reasonable, but most are silly and presented completely out of context. Apple Maps doesn't incorporate the latest regional control of the Ukraine War? DoD personnel upload their fitbit-connected GPS data to strava? Apple "refuses" to install back doors for the government?
An intern at a lobbying group was tasked with writing a hit piece to circulate amongst LAs, and here it is. Maybe they should have stuck with the points about colluding with the Chinese government.
- civilized 4y agoWhat are LAs? Legislative Aides? I feel like you're onto something here but I need that acronym's meaning :)
- drc500free 4y agoYep, Legislative Assistants. They collect bullet points from all the NGOs and lobbying groups to help shape their congress-critter's positions. Then those bullet points will show up in floor speeches, interviews with pundits, etc. The actual legislation tends to show up pre-written. Left or Right, most of them believe that defying the national security apparatus is adjacent to treason.

- Schroedingersat 4y agoThey did it once and made a big deal about it, now we're not supposed to complain when they backdoor imessage encryption.
