It's exactly as you say, imo, it's class and wealth, not a race issue. But how to talk meaningfully about resolving a class/wealth issue, when it is framed as a race issue? You can't. First you need to correctly diagnose the problem. And so many talking heads etc are invested in a race problem.. I tend to think mis-framing the issue is intentional. It is a divide and conquer strategy, that keeps the oi polloi arguing amongst themselves.
