- anon291 4y agoHistorically, most men are forced to work to provide for their family. So basically, you do nothing. If you're burnt out you continue to work to provide for your family. That's pretty much it, and I venture if more females followed this advice, they too would have similar rates as men. Myself, I like my job, but not as much as some. I've certainly hated my job before. But that doesn't matter. As the sole income earner, I have to keep working. It's not an option for me to 'leave tech', since that's the only career path I can follow at this point that provides as much income. So, when things suck at a job, I find a new one, but I don't have the option of leaving. I joke with my wife that I should probably find myself a husband so I don't have to put up with this shit.
