If we start getting friday as WFH or off, people will start feeling that way about thursdays
- DevKoala 4y agoI work from home. I only fly to an office location for presentations to c-level. I am a high performer, and working from home has had no impact on my commitment; some days start at 6am and end at 10pm. It completely depends on the individual.
- postalrat 4y agoAs a high performer do you feel you don't need to read comments before replying to them?
- DevKoala 4y ago> If we start getting friday as WFH or off, people will start feeling that way about thursdays The way I interpreted the comment was that getting WFH days is a slippery slope. What did you understand by it?
- naveen99 4y agoIf you work from home everyday, you aren’t on the slope. /r/iamahighperformer https://www.reddit.com/r/iamverysmart/ https://www.reddit.com/r/iamverysmart/
- DevKoala 4y agoMy argument is against the effects of the slippery slope here. What if individuals ask for Thursday wfh? What if they ask to wfh the whole week? Their output should still be the same and perhaps better. I also manage a team of full of remote individuals, 20+. I cannot say that this team performs better or worse than the team I used to manage at an office before the pandemic.
