Judge in Twitter vs. Musk made rare earlier ruling: ordering a deal to close
- dredmorbius 4y agoI saved you a click: In a prior case. The Twitter v. Musk case has not yet been heard, let alone ruled on.
- hericium 4y agoOuch. That was indeed a crappy submission on my part. Apologies.
- dredmorbius 4y agoIt's really on Reuters. That was a truly shitty headline. See the HN guidelines, it's allowed (and encouraged) to substitute or edit titles in the case of clickbait. Usually I'll suggest something in the text itself, occasionally the <title> tag itself has a better version. Here I sort of threw up my arms when I'd emailed dang. As his comemnt notes, the fix was adding new language, something HN generally tries to avoid. (There's a fair amount of drama and conflict over titles, and HN actually does change quite a few for numerous reasons. Reading dang's reasoning can be illuminating: https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=by%3Adang%20changed%20title&sort=byPopularity&type=comment https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu... https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&query=by%3Adang%20edited%20title&sort=byPopularity&type=comment https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=false&qu... )
- dang 4y agoOK, we've squeezed an 'earlier' in there.
