first time this happened to me, I assumed it was my mistake, and took the hit because the salary was a big jump anyway. turned out to be a great job so I'm glad I didn't let this significant error stand in my way. but the experience meant that since then I've been -very- careful and deliberate to repeatedly confirm that superannuation is additional. Nonetheless, twice I've got the paperwork saying otherwise. I'm now convinced its a standardised scam.
