- matt321 4y agoThis will remove the "human decency" part of the system where sometimes judges will realize the person meant no harm or it was an accident and "don't" get their life ruined.
- mr90210 4y agoI couldn’t agree more, even though people could find ways to argue against your statement just to appear intelligent. We’ve reached a level with AI where we ought to think about ethics more than we ever did. It is a remarkable technological achievement to have AI judging humans, but do we humans really need it? It’s not like this AI is reducing high costs of something.
- Comevius 4y agoThey don't have judicial indepedence either way, it wouldn't be even possible to have it in a single-party state, so there is not much difference between whether judges or algorithms execute the will of the state. China's justice system only exist to protect the interest of the state. Power, money and connections are all greater than the law. The Chinese people don't even have a right for fair trial, the prosecutors always get what they want with a 99.9% conviction rate. The judges and lawyers only exist as a formality, evidence is only tangentially considered.
