Mindfulness in schools does not improve mental health, study finds
- EddieDante 4y agoThis doesn't surprise me. The problems with school that cause teen suicide don't go away just because you've taught kids to meditate. And, yes, there is something about school that causes teenagers to kill themselves. Somebody actually documented this and published a paper in Economics of Education Review[0]: There's data that suggests that the teen suicide rate drops when school is out. Basil Halperin has more[1]. I suspect, having been there myself, that Stephen King put it best in The Shining: > "This inhuman place makes human monsters."
