Show HN: An accessible, responsive web-based graphic design GUI experiment
- rikroots 4y agoI made this because I've always been a little disappointed with the GUI effect used by other JS canvas libraries - which mainly present as a box around the selected graphic(s) with handles on the corners and edges for drag-drop scaling, another box sticking out a bit further for drag-drop rotation, and drag-drop inside the box for moving the selection around the canvas. I wanted to try something different, so I came up with the idea of three circles in the center of the selection for move/rotate/scale, alongside lines connecting the circles to the selected items. I also wanted to make the editing process as fully accessible as possible - I think I've managed to capture all the editing options in keystrokes but there's always a missed edge case somewhere. I posted the ShowHN because I'm keen on feedback. Is this better UI/UX than already exists? What are examples of really good (and accessible) UI/UX for this sort of requirement?
