FBI Records – Louie Louie ( The Song)
- bilekas 4y agoThe lyrics for context : Louie, Louie, me gotta go Louie, Louie, me gotta go Fine little girl she waits for me Me catch the ship for cross the sea I sail the ship all alone I never think me make it home Louie, Louie, oh, me gotta go Louie, Louie, me gotta go Three nights and days me sail the sea Me think of girl constantly On the ship I dream she there I smell the rose in her hair Louie, Louie, me gotta go Louie, Louie, me gotta go Me see Jamaica moon above It won't be long, me see my love Me take her in my arms and then I tell her I never leave again Louie, Louie, oh, me gotta go Louie, Louie, me gotta go I say, me gotta go I say, me gotta go Oh the humanity!
- cameron_b 4y agoThe way I understand it, that lyric sheet is contextualized in the way that "the kids" -- and mostly young women at that -- absolutely went nuts for this sound, but the grown folk couldn't make out half of the lyrics. The authorities were afraid that they weren't in on some freaky <obscene> reference in the lyrics they couldn't understand. -This- is the fear of the unknown
- bushnugget 4y agoCheck out the Todd Snider song about this called "The Ballad of The Kingsmen."
- bradgranath 4y agoLol the Obscene version reads like it was written by an idiot hollering about reverse racist math problems at the PTA.
