Imaginary Numbers Are Real
- nynx 4y agoI wish articles like this were more clear about what imaginary numbers are. Saying “reality requires imaginary numbers” sounds cool and mysterious. “Reality is best described using rotations in abstract vector spaces sometimes” is not.

- karmakaze 4y ago> In the centigrade scale, we can see the difference between negative and positive temperature since the latter corresponds to ice rather than liquid water. A poor example of real vs made-up with an arbitrarily chosen 0 point. Using Kelvin shows this isn't 'real' however useful.
