Having jumped off the Gmail boat recently, as well as a couple other Gboats, reading news about Google has become a much more pleasant experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who gets unnecessary stress from stuff like this.
- scotuswroteus 4y agoHow the heck do I jump off this gmail ship? I need a lifeboat
- throwuxiytayq 4y agoTwo frequently mentioned alternatives are Protonmail and Fastmail. I can personally recommend the former - free to test, imports history from Gmail, vastly more secure, UI is pretty nice if a bit slow (but I'll take the E2EE as an excuse).
- multjoy 4y agoNot great for calendaring though, especially if you've got a couple of users on workspace legacy.
- okamiueru 4y agoWhat's the ussje with the calendar? How Google parses your email and creates events is convenient, but fair enough. Perhaps the ability to easily share calendars with others? What are some things you are wishing it had?
