We have some good employment laws that Uber is skirting by classifying their employees as "independent contractors".
- s1artibartfast 4y agoAs someone who always wanted to be an independent contractor but can't, I especially don't like those laws. I think the most charitable interpretation of them is legal duct tape over other bad laws. The most obvious examples are tax laws and incentives that tie Healthcare to employers.
