Wait, so it's not "Berm-uh" and "My-ahn-mar" ?
- schoen 4y agoI didn't realize this, but Wikipedia says > In Burmese, the pronunciation depends on the register used and is either Bama (pronounced [bəmà]) or Myamah (pronounced [mjəmà]). That is, there is originally no R sound in either word in Burmese, as thaumasiotes clarified.
