I'm not sure they solve the same problems; if you NEED the REST api and want to keep all of that consistent then something like react makes more sense. If you're just building a webapp then you can do a low-js SPA app that's often significantly simpler AND more performant with HTMX. But as always, different projects have different needs. <3
