Blatant victim blaming.
- vkou 4y agoWould you say the same if he were associated with a different organization that allegedly hurt people? Like, say, the Yakuza? And possibly provided political cover for them? I would think most people would not be very sympathetic to his death if he were. This is a sliding scale, that depends on what the organization in question is. A knitting club? A gang? A weird cult that sometimes acts like a gang? I don't know enough about this group, but if it's behaviour is much like scientology, it's closer to being a gang than a knitting club. Superficially, I'd probably place it closer to something like Amway, which I wouldn't classify as a gang, but would definitely classify as a criminal conspiracy (with a cult element) that has co-opted the political establishment that was supposed to shut it down.
