Not nearly great at this either.
When he started coming to South Florida and acting flamboyant, the relatively small & exclusive local business & golfing community soon recognized him as just another fake millionaire. Which is really a low-class approach for a well-dressed person, but fake millionaires have always been a dime a dozen so that was nothing new.
Within only a few weeks his two major defining characteristics were confirmed; he cheated at golf and couldn't be trusted in a real estate deal.
That's all anybody needed to know.
Old money would never have let people like him & Epstein purchase property on Palm Beach, it took until they were all dead and gone, and there goes the neighborhood.
You should have read the local gossip tabloid over the years as he built his first empire, which some thought was fake to begin with, then not surprisingly went bankrupt at great cost to anyone who trusted him.
I wonder where the archives for the National Enquirer could be found nowadays.
