Russia’s Giant Submarine, Carrying Nuclear Powered Nuclear Torpedos
- Someone 4y agoFTA: It can launch Posideon torpedoes that can destroy cities from afar. It can locate and manipulate objects on the ocean floor, including communications cables that it can either potentially tap or cut, blinding adversaries. In my limited understanding, that are two wildly different roles; I don’t see why you would use a huge vessel like this (about 100 sailors, reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar-class_submarine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar-class_submarine) to do wire-tapping. What do I miss?
- qbrass 4y agoIt's an example of something the sub could do, not necessarily something they use it for.
- Arnt 4y agoWow, that's like a Marvel Superhero Submarine. Big! Badass! I wonder if's going to be useful for something.
