Intelligence without knowledge is not very helpful. If all you know is how to write code, you will suck with other things, even if you're intelligent. The bigger problem is that people tend to downplay the knowledge that's required to do something, simply because they do not know how much they don't know. It gets worse the more intelligent you are because you're more confident in yourself then. Case in point: name of this project. I've read it like 10 times on this page already yet I still can't spell it from memory.
