To a good first approximation, every laptop computer or phone you can buy today has a 16:9 or 16:10 aspect ratio screen (much to my annoyance). The fact that people don’t use it is because wide designs are hard to read. This is an established fact in print, for example, which is why newspapers use columns, and why properly typeset books have around 80 characters per line. > No Fonts WTF? Almost every page I visit wants to download tens of megabytes of web fonts, none of which I permit. > No Multi-tasking I can’t even work out what you mean by this. I’m replying on a iPhone with a Picture in Picture video playing in the top corner, and just received a notification. I’d love to know what your definition of multi-tasking is, frankly, because it has zero basis in operating system reality.
