Both Grubaugh and Dr. Murray say the best way to prevent new variants is to get vaccinated and get a booster shot, because if more people are fully vaccinated, it decreases the opportunity for the virus to spread and mutate. Why are they still writing stuff like that when most everyone knows someone who caught Covid despite being current on Covid shots? The vaccinate-and-treat approach just encourages vaccine evasion and resistance against the various treatments. We need infection control: masks, ventilation and especially paid sick leave.
