I'm still using Vanced for my ad+sponsor blocking needs, but I've heard of this project before. Are there any major differences?
- FrostKiwi 4y agoUsing NewPipe for years now, my go-to for my YouTube needs. Yes it's very different. Vanced is a modified YouTube app, NewPipe is a completely new App, based on youtube-dl and scarping youtube's webpage. You cannot login, like or comment. Subscriptions work on a per-device basis (Though you can export and import them). They are updated either by the channel's RSS feed or by scraping the channel's webpage. Also supports other services like soundcloud.
