- sillysaurusx 4y agoIs that how sentencing works? (I honestly have no idea.)
- pm90 4y agoYou do tend to get a more lenient sentence if you have dependents, but its not guaranteed.
- vorpalhex 4y agoNo, fortunately not. Though being pregnant can sometimes lead to lighter or modified sentances if the judge is allowed discretion.

- jcranmer 4y agoThe judge has discretion to sentence a defendant to whatever they feel is justified, even outside the sentencing guidelines--they are just guidelines after all. Of course, you can appeal on the grounds that the sentence was clearly unreasonable.
