- dang 4y agoWe don't have a truth meter or a mind reader, and in any case people are allowed to be wrong. Most of us are wrong about most things. If someone else is wrong or you feel they are, you should make a respectful case for the truth as you understand it. Alternatively, if you don't want to take the time to do that, chalk it up to someone being wrong on the internet and leave it. Crude insults aren't just against HN's rules, they also are not in your interest, because they discredit your own argument. That's the worst way to represent your point of view, and in the case you happen to be right, you end up discrediting the truth for everybody. Not a win. https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sort=byDate&type=comment&query=truth%20discredit%20by:dang https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&sor... https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
- justinsaccount 4y agoThanks. I admit I was frustrated by core-utility's outright lie (or at least ignorance) about what is going on and could have explained things better.
