people do pay for vitamins, but very few buy a vitamin because they NEED it. They buy it because it sounds like a good idea to get healthy. People buy pain killers because they have a very serious problem to solve directly affecting their QOL.

- iansanew 4y agovitamins have product market fit with people who are deficient in vitamins or anxious those 2 groups probably 'need' it
