Dim: Package Manager for Data
- capableweb 4y agoIt's very unclear what this actually does. How is it different than using Git+LFS for example? On a first glance, it seems it's also not content-addressable, which is a no-go directly for most of my data needs.
- ryo-ma 4y agoAssuming the case where various open data are downloaded for application development or data analysis, dim realizes the storage of information such as data acquisition source and necessary preprocessing in a management information file (dim.json). By sharing that management information file (dim.json) with other development members, all data preparation can be done with a single command.
