I'm wondering if it would make more sense to integrate a Vim-like text editor directly into a GPU-accelerated terminal like Alacritty?
- dmix 4y agoSpacevim is just a config, I used it for years with Vim in Kitty (GPU accelerated). Unless you mean a more direct integration?
- chmod775 4y agoWhat benefits do you imagine that would bring?
- encryptluks2 4y agoRather than being limited by console-based rendering, it could do the heavy lifting... like being able to render a markdown file natively with different font sizes.

- encryptluks2 4y agoYeah, but it is still rendered in console-mode.
- konart 4y agoAlacritty already has vi mode though. And you obviously can run vim\nvim from Alacritty, what kind of integration you are talking about?
