I hope my thought-process is very wrong on this topic, but given how politically divided this has become, the concerning thing to me is that these vaccine requirements are largely functioning as an idealogical purge of large parts of the military and government. This is not necessarily based on political party, but on individuals' resistance to complying with questionable orders. (Whether or not you see the vaccines as a good or bad thing: it's clear that a non-trivial percentage of the country doesn't trust the rushed vaccine process, the ethics of trying to force it on everybody or become unemployed, or the overall cost-benefits of these vaccines given the relatively trivial risks of Covid.) Entering what might be an unprecedented down economic period in American history where there will likely be significant civil unrest and NG in the streets, it's a bit worrisome that the soldiers who are perhaps a bit more resistant to blindly following questionable orders are drummed out through this process.
