- javajosh 4y agoWhat's remarkable is that he's been doing this for over half his life. (He's recently been critiquing some of his early work. Quarter-life crisis perhaps? But he's living proof that putting in the hours, being consistent, and yes a little lucky, really pays off over time.)

My inner cynic says that he's rather a living proof of survivorship bias of that approach. There's really a lot of talented people out there, he just did it at the right point of time, when not many thought of it. He risked and survived.
