Yeah I ditched my 2019 16" for an M1 Max. Was an expensive move but honestly, I couldn't bear to use that thing as a laptop, especially once I knew there was an alternative which doesn't get hot enough to fry eggs on. For me it was worth it, because I now enjoy using my laptop as a laptop on the sofa or whatever, and do a lot more creative stuff on it than I did with the old one. But definitely not a cheap move!
